Getting ready: 18th century France and Marie Antoinette

I just love costume parties, people should organize them more often! Tomarrow I'm going to attend local jewelery chain Expressions 10th  birthday party and the theme is Marie Antoinette and 18th century in France.
Marie Antoinette was known for her pricy parties and expensive taste in fashion - she had nearly 300 dresses made annually for her various social engagements at the court of Versailles.
When the theme is historic, you need to do a proper research. I want to look authentic as possible to Mrs Antoinette. I found a dress from the costume rental and now hair and make-up time!

Marie Antoinette, Queen of France and Navarre, by Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun.

It was HEAVY, because people wanted to cover up the results of the deadly smallpox disease. Pale and milky skin complexion.  Blush as small circles on the cheeks to create rosy flush. Black velvet beauty patches were extremely fashionable, usually in different shapes, to cover smallpox scars.

She had a Royal Hairdresser, Leonard Autie, who was responsible for the daring hairstyles - the bigger, the better. She had dozens of crazy styles, but I still need to decide.
