THE ABANDONED SKATEPARK; BATUMI, GEORGIA

Tervitused Batumist! Piltidelt tundus kaasaegne. Seni on mu lemmikud hinkaalid seentega!

Warm welcome from Batumi! I actually didn't do much research before coming here. We bought the tickets back in Spring, because they were cheap. I just googled a bit and that's all. When we landed, I noticed right away, that this country is different. Next to the landing strip were rather poor private houses. The airport itself is very small. In the center there's a lot of contrasts. Slums versus modern skyscrapers(I am definitely making a special post about that). The beach is beautiful, but still a little sloppy looking. There's abandoned volleyball, football courts and skateparks. It is sad, but beautiful in a way. You don't find stalls selling cheap plastic products here as well - trading business isn't well developed here obviously. But the food - oh boy it is amazing here! And it keeps getting better every time we visit some new spots. So far, I am loving the mushroom hinkali with spicy tomato sauce!
