Leinavad lesed pidid kandma musti leinariideid kaks aastat. Teised pereliikmed mõned kuud. Ma olen ikka täiesti lummatud sellest ilust! Teiseks lemmikuks on elevandiluu karva pulmakleidid. Nad kiirgavad justkui helget tulevikku, puhtust ning sümboliseerivad ilusat algust. Näitus on avatud oktoobri lõpuni.

For some weeks now, a wonderful fashion exhibition Poetry and Spleen is open in KUMU museum. Amazing journey through Victorian era from the collection of Alexander Vassiljev.
My favourites were definitely the mourning dresses. I loved the delicate details. As usually, I am really fond of wedding gowns. They symbolize bright future and purity. The exhibition is open until the end of October.
Although, I really enjoy fashion and clothing with history, I am actually really glad we don't have to wear dresses like these. Extreme corsets and huge crinolines....not the most comfortable way to live your life. But the times were different and women spent most of their lives at home.
